BEST Repeat 2020 and some changes for 2021

We are all glad that 2020 is coming to an end, but we must say that it wasn’t all bad. Here, we’ve prepared for you some of the BEST-related highlights we have achieved this year, such as our regular burn events, the introduction of the BEST Rewards program, unique coin ballots and much more. BEST buy with no trading premiums for the rest of December

To celebrate BEST success and to thank our amazing community, we’ve decided to give you the BEST Christmas gift: starting right away, you can buy BEST on Bitpanda (not Bitpanda Pro) with no trading premiums. This promotion will last until December 31, 2020 (23:59 CET).

Starting from January 1st, 2021, we will reduce the BEST fee collection discount from 25% to 20% and increase the BEST minimum value for the BEST fee collection feature from € 0.12 to € 0.132. However, if the BEST price is higher than € 0.132, the appropriate market price will count when you use BEST for paying trading premiums on Bitpanda and Bitpanda Pro. In addition to this, we are constantly looking for new benefits and incentives for our BEST holders, as well as new ways to incorporate BEST into our products. So stay tuned for more exciting news in 2021!

Some highlights from 2020

We are happy to repeat all of 2020’s biggest highlights for you. We start at the beginning of the year with our very first BEST ticket burn which occurred on January 30, 2020. Regular BEST ticket burns are part of the overall strategy for BEST. We collected all the tickets that are destroyed by consumers paying trading premiums on Bitpanda and Bitpanda Pro. The goal for a reduction in supply is to get fewer tickets in circulation. BEST ticket burns will continue until 50% of the total ticket volume is destroyed. Below, you can find a summary of the last four BEST burns.

In March 2020, we introduced yet another benefit for BEST VIP holders: coin votes. We are happy to let you know that since then, we have already conducted four coin ballots where we let our BEST holders decide which cryptocurrencies they want to see integrated next on Bitpanda.

In March, we also introduced the amazing BEST Rewards loyalty program. If you are not yet familiar with this feature, it allows you to collect more than 12% in BEST extra per year. Since launching the program on March 31, 2020, we have paid 16,778,150 BEST, which equates to € 2,501,622 with today’s BEST price. The number of users benefiting from this program is increasing every month and in November it reached its highest level with more than 32,000 users claiming their BEST.

Since it was most sought after, in September we organized a BEST trading competition on Bitpanda Pro: the “Simply the BEST” trading competition, where we donated more than € 18,000 worth of BEST. In addition, there is another BEST trading competition currently running where we will select six winners and each will win 10,000 BEST! Find out more here.

While we are already on this topic, the end of the year has brought us another highlight for BEST. The highest BEST price ever reached was on December 11, 2020, when BEST was priced at € 0.1610. We hope that 2021 will bring us a new high for not only the price, but also the number of BEST holders and consumers who are actively using BEST to pay their trading fees on Bitpanda and Bitpanda Pro and who claim their BEST Rewards.
