New Declaration a New Decade Dawn
in the Reporting Tool
At Bitfinex, innovation never stops. The dedication of our team keeps us at the forefront of an industry in a state of continuous change. At the dawn of this new decade, we are pleased to introduce some major features and add to the reporting tool that will improve our customers’ trading reports.

Expert reports
Three reporting tools have been added to help traders keep a better record of their activity.
All new additional reports can be displayed by day / month / year, and include a paired filter that separates the results by pairs or currency.
1 – Trade volume report: This report shows how much volume is traded over a given period of time, allowing users to filter in pairs if needed
2 – Loan report: This new function shows consumers how their funding strategy works. The results are displayed as daily returns, time period cumulative returns and as an annual percentage return.
3 – Trade fees report: The fees report shows the fees paid by the user over specific periods of time, allowing users to filter in pairs if necessary.
User interface and usability
Bitfinex is known for having one of the best UI / UX on the market. We always aim to improve the user experience, as evidenced by the addition of some new features to the report section.
1 – Filter columns: Users can filter the columns they want to see, to get a smaller screen, thus removing information that is not needed for analysis.
This function can be enabled by clicking on the filter columns and then selecting the desired columns, as shown in this video.
2- Moving scene: As mobile is increasingly important to our users, we have added a new mobile responsive theme to display the report information. This is available on the app and website.
3 – Filter improvements: Additional filters have been edited to be simpler. Changes can be summarized as follows:
- Capitals are no longer considered
- Add reset button
- Search function for up to 3 pages, letting a user decide if he or she wants to continue, preventing long waiting times.

Ordering crafts
This new section allows users to check which trades match each order.
To verify this functionality, users need to click on the desired order ID.
DB export / import
If a user wishes to upgrade between report versions, change the computer or duplicate a report on another computer, without syncing his data yet, an option has been added to import / export the DB reports.
By pressing theALT crucially, a menu will appear at the top with the appropriate tools involved in doing the export / import task.
Additional improvements
1 – Release software for Mac. Release for Mac software was stable
2 – Fixed export issues (some reports didn’t export properly)
3 – Bug fixes for pair selection
4 – Repairs for other minor bugs
5 – Trade fees shown as a percentage in the craft section

To use this new software, download the framework statements for Windows / Mac / Linux atgithub.com/bitfinexcom/bfx-report-electron/releases
Once installed, create a set ofread only keys throughbitfinex.com/api. Make a note of them, as you will need the keys for login.
Use API and Secret Key to log in and wait until cloud synchronization is complete.
Future Plans
There are a range of improvements planned for the reporting tool in 2020:
- Export tax report enabled for digital signature
- New sub site for better downloading public data
- An optimized framework for sharing data between users
- Maintained version of report framework
- Special corporate reporting tools
